As a result of my life coaching lessons with Jen, I feel that I am more able to approach not only problems, but my life, with clearer eyes. Jen's approach to coaching was to ask questions which forced me to examine both my answers and the questions themselves, because often they were things I had not been brave enough to ask myself. I learned how to really think about my behaviors and to set out for myself what I wanted my life to be, so that I would be able to begin the process of making my actions come in line with the results I most wanted. The act of taking the time each week to really think about my life and how I felt it was going, and to approach the task of solving my own problems as I would for my job, was a way for me to realize that I am a project that requires and deserves as much attention as any that my boss might set upon my desk. Jen was able to tailor her techniques to me and was open to asking me what I felt would work best- and then would take my suggestions and figure out a way to best navigate the talk. I really feel that speaking and learning from and with Jen was an invaluable experience and I am grateful for the time we spent together. - Melissa W
What a difference you have made in my life. You keep telling me it's ME - but you have everything to do with it! Thank you for holding space for me...for letting me into your life and for sharing with me. Thank you for reawakening me. I have grown tremendously (spiritually) since I began my sessions with you. – Niki M I had served for 24 years in the military, which means I had placed my profession ahead of my family, me and just about everything else. I have always been confident in my decisions, but when it came time to ‘retire’, I wanted explore what to do next with someone unencumbered with actions and decisions I had made before. Turns out, Jennifer not only helped me understand my options, but helped me uncover my core values and renew my sense of who I am. She challenged me to think beyond the stereotypical ex-military guy mindset and recognize all of my talents and aspirations. The result has allowed me to be a more balanced, fun, profitable person with my family, friends, new job and yes, even me. Having made service to others part of my life for so long, she helped me recognize opportunities to continue this by joining a nonprofit. I appreciated what my job skills meant without seeing myself as consumed by needing to perform with them. And, she helped me re-ignite my commitment to my kids. All along, I had little doubt I could make the transition from one job to another while getting my kids off to college. Jen, however, offered me insights to see it an exciting time of opportunity. It’s one thing to know what you can do…it’s another to create a real plan to make the richness of your thoughts a reality. Jennifer reinforced my decisions to do just that. In the process, I’ve come to be a more diverse person who can enjoy and give better to my family, friends, new work and myself. - Mike I Jen is a truly fantastic coach. Her innate coaching skills plus the additional body- centered coaching perspective that she brings to her coaching make the sessions fun as well as forward-moving. Her supportive style and instinct for asking just the right questions have helped me make tremendous progress. - Beth W. I am beyond a type A personality. I have sacrificed my health, family and my capacity to live life in the present moment for my career. Bundled up with stress, I used the excuse of work to avoid looking at myself - buying myself and my family off with “when” … when I got the next project finished, when I got on to the plane for the fancy vacation, when I got the M6 in my garage. But then when those things happened, nothing responded inside of me. The car is fun, the vacation passed, the next promotion just meant more late nights and feeling like - not like something is missing… but like I am missing. From my own life. It’s like my life is a ship and rather than being the captain of the ship, I’m sitting in the stateroom trying to build an airplane. Coaching with Jen changed this for me. It’s about a lot more than just what I do with my time. If I was willing to balance the way I manage my time, I could have accomplished that myself. Jen showed me that what matters to me is the internal balance between being happy and inspired. Happy is something that happens now – it’s being full of life in the present moment, with whatever I’m doing and experiencing. It’s about experiencing my children now, even though they’re in college, rather than feeling like I failed as a father to be there while they grew up. And inspired – inspired is about looking forward to the future, to who I’m becoming and what I want to achieve – both professionally and personally. Those are the things that get me out of bed in the morning and make me enjoy my days. Those are the things that allow me to experience my children. And Jennifer has helped me hold both simultaneously – the result is that I feel like I am living my life. I am the captain. – Mark E I have asked more of myself and done more with myself in the short time while I coached with you than in months, or in some instances years. Not only that, but it was so very much enjoyable especially if the lesson/topic was hard. You encouraged me to trust myself, help myself, and love myself more. It was very much a life altering experience very much like a ripple in a pond that has far reaching, albeit sometimes unknown, impacts. Thank you! - Aurora R en does not pretend to have all wisdom. She does know that you know everything you need to know about yourself, and she leads you to your own self-knowledge gently, lovingly, and sensitively. At some point you will look back and be astonished at how far you have come. What we have done already has far exceeded my expectations and is extremely powerful. – George C |
